Aaron and I were saddened on this day in January. Titus and I went to visit Daddy for the weekend and stayed in a hotel overnight. The hotel had a pool. We were excited to take Titus swimming, since it had been so long since we had taken him. He took swimming lessons in between the ages of 4-8 months and loved it!!! We have only taken him a few more times since then. His response was absolute hatred!!!
However, he did love posing in his swim diaper, the height of the floor we were on, and the luggage carrier.

Keys
I started this blog to write down the things you say and do as a toddler. Mark today as the day you put the van keys through the dishwasher. You came to me while I was in the kitchen this morning with a tag from the keys in your mouth. I took the tag out and for some unknown reason I didn't not take the keys from you. I must have been too busy doing dishes and letting you do whatever in the dishwasher. I remember you playing in the silverware bucket, so you must have tried to exchange the keys with some silverware to keep for yourself. It made me laugh after all the frustration built up inside of me from searching everywhere and anywhere that a toddler would have put keys.

Pudding Painting
Titus had his first experience painting with pudding. We had his friend Weston over to also delight in the fun. Titus was on the verge of a nap, so he make look a little tired in the pictures.
The boys had fun and that is what it was all about!
Hmmmm....Let me think. |
Would you like some? |
More? |
Yummy!!! |
Please?!? Take some.... |
Such a serious face |

Children's Museum
On Monday Aaron, Titus, Zoey and I loaded up the van and left Illinois. Aaron dropped me off up in northern Indianapolis to spend time with some friends, while he went down to Louisville for a meeting. Tuesday night he joined us and we were back home around 11:30am on Wednesday morning. While I was in Indianapolis, Melinda and I took the three kids to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. She had a year pass, so it was nice to just spend a couple hours there and not feel guilty for not staying the whole day. Here are a "few" pictures of Titus.
Right before entering the main part of the museum, they have these dinosaurs to ride.
Here he is today.
Here he is back in May 2011 on the same dinosaur, except he wasn't sitting up back then and we couldn't balance him on the top. Now he can get on and off, jump around, etc. all by himself.
In fact, he is so much more mature now that we let him drive a car at the museum.
Then, I decided I didn't want him to grow up too fast. The water table was more suitable. He is a little sad in the second picture because some girl hit him on the head with a little fishing rod.
Titus' climbing skills were more advanced than I thought. He really showed them off and this momma was proud and loved watching him try to figure the climbing out on his own.
I was surprised when he climbed up this hill, because it was approx. the same length as he is and straight up.
All three kids enjoyed the construction site. They are all three such fun kids.
We went to the science area and I enjoyed getting pictures of Titus being a woodland animal.
About right here is when Titus was done being a woodland animal and just wanted his mamma.
But, as always, mamma needed one last picture. I forget the why, but the Children's Museum is known for this clock. Therefore, Titus couldn't leave without getting his picture taken next to it.
We were thankful for Melinda, her hospitality, and having a pass to a fun place to explore. There was hardly anyone there, which made it very nice. I've always gone on the weekends when it is swamped with kids running everywhere.Going Away Party
We had a "We Will Miss our Friends" party and I wish I would have taken more pictures. We had chili and lots of other yummy foods. We had a good turnout. I did get pictures of Mark and Titus hamming it up while their mothers tried to get a decent shot of the two boys together.
I sure do miss these two boys playing together on a more regular basis. They have so much fun! Although Titus does have a tendency to treat Mark more like a brother than other kids his age. I think it is the familiarity, since they have known each other since babyhood. Hopefully, we will have time to catch the two boys together again mid-March when we have the movers come.

Sprawled Monkey
I went to check on Titus tonight before going to bed and my first thought when I saw how he was sleeping, in these pajamas, was "sprawled monkey." I thought I would share.

Our Little Ham
Aaron has taken a few random pictures of Titus, just being Titus. He can be such a ham and is such an enjoyable little guy. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
These two pictures were taken on New Year's Eve in his playroom. |
The pictures of him unpacking his suitcase were taken on New Year's Day. |
This is Titus on New Year's Day also. He loves this blanket. It is one we keep in the living room for keeping warm in front of the television. |
Titus has learned to roll, with a little bit of assistance. These were also taken on New Year's Day. Apparently, Titus was in the celebrating type of mood.
On January 4th, Titus decided it was time to reorganize my pots and pans cabinet. I went ahead and let him have at it. I have a hatred for corner cabinets that are hard to get into and that I can't see what is in the far back. Titus discovered what was back there.
We love our little boy more and more every day. May we never forget these enjoyable toddler years that are challenging, but yet oh so much fun!
