Playing Ball Outside

It is hard to believe my baby can play ball outside. We had so much fun!!! He's looking like such a little man.

He still resorts to crawling when in the grass.

Titus loves walking down hills and insists on going down by himself, but wants to be carried uphill.

New Stuff Everywhere

Where has Titus been? I know all his adoring fans have been dying to know. Here is the newest scoop.

On January 23rd, Daddy had to report to Louisville for his new job. Titus, Zoey and Mommy hung out at the house for a couple weeks, but got too lonesome for Daddy. The rest of the family reported to Louisville on February 5th to live in a hotel suite with Daddy. Hotel living wasn't too bad, except for the sleeping arrangements and Titus got a little bored. The last couple nights there Daddy slept on the pull-out couch, while Mommy and Titus slept in the bedroom. Titus sleeps so much better in his own room, but it just wasn't feasible in the hotel suite. Last Sunday we moved in with our friends Ron and Chong. They have been so hospitable and I feel so spoiled. Titus is back to sleeping just as if he were at home, since he has his own room again. He thinks he gained a new grandpa and grandma. He also thinks he gained a new dog, but I'm sure he wonders what happened to Zoey. Zoey is staying with some friends of ours up north, which we will be forever grateful to the Harkness' for watching and taking good care of her.

Here is Tasha and Titus together. Don't worry, she hasn't eaten him yet.
A picture of Titus and Chong that would make any grandma jealous.
Well, this update is over. Titus is awake from his morning nap. I hope to post more pictures later. The camera disk was found yesterday, which makes this mommy very happy.

Real quick:
  • Yesterday in the bath, Titus did Itsy Bitsy Spider for the first time with me. He even said the words Itsy and Spider. I hope to record it sometime.
  • Yesterday was a very important day, because Titus also says "Moo" now when you ask him, "What does a cow say?".
  • He now points out his eyes and nose. Before it was just his head, ears and belly button.
  • He has learned to open doors, so I have to get in the habit of locking the bathroom door at Ron and Chong's. Our new house has round handles, so that shouldn't be a problem. Well, it shouldn't be right away anyway.
  • Yesterday Titus also said, "Blue." He was holding a yellow bead, but why should that matter?
  • He is now up to 12 teeth.
  • He attempts ABC's, but I can't quite understand if he is actually saying actual letters. However, his singing voice is oh so cute.
We should be moving into our new house mid-March. The sellers moved the date sooner. Yippee for us!!!

Eyes and Ears and Mouth and Nose

Since Titus is not a robot I can not get him to regularly point to the body parts he has shown me that he knows. He has a personality of his own and on some things can not be persuaded. However, I did get a picture of him pointing to his ear.

Titus and his Tool Bench

Don't let your child try this at home. It just happens to be the way Titus carries things down the stairs.

Sensory Bins

Thanks to Pinterest, I have come up with sensory bins designated for each day of the week. I am anxious to see if it helps Titus out in the new house with entertaining himself while I am cooking dinner, instead of him crying and throwing tantrums at my feet because I am not playing with him or paying enough attention to him. Although, he has gotten better for the time being. In the meantime, he does have access to all the bins while we are living at Ron and Chong's. The straws bin has become his favorite. The intent is to work on his fine motor skills. He puts the straws in the link holes. Chong and I also took a tissue box, turned it upside down and poked holes in it with a screwdriver. He loves putting the straws in the holes, although I have no pictures with the tissue box. I do have pictures of him concentrating with putting the straws in the links.

Hitting himself on the head. I'm not sure why he has the need to hit his head purposefully.

Words at 15 months

Today Titus and I hung out with a friend I've had since high school/youth group days, Dessica, and her two boys. Who would have ever thought that her and I would have kids many years later that would play together? Her 3 year old, Tag, and Titus got along great. Her almost 5 month old was so alert and wanted to play but wasn't quite ready yet.

My friend had asked me what words Titus was saying and I came up with a few. When I got back to the hotel I decided to write down what words he is saying at 15 months old on a regular basis on his own with no prompting. Often times, I will say something and he will repeat the last word in the sentence. For example, tonight I asked him, "Did you toot?" And he repeated, "Toot."

Here are the words he is currently saying on a regular basis that I could come up with:

1. More - Mo
2. Eat - Ea
3. Ear - eah
4. Head - Heh
5. Knock 'em Down - a little bit of jibberish with dow
6. Up
7. Down - Dow
8. Ma Ma
9. Dad
10. Dog - Gog
11. Zoey - Oey
12. Bowl - Boe
13. Please - Pease
14. All Done - All Doan
15. Ball - Ba
16. Two
17. Three - Tee
18. Teeth - Theeth
19. Pshew - as in PU Stinky
20. Baby
21. No
22. Oh Yeah
23. Yes
24. Fish - Shish
25. Brush - Ush
26. Go
27. Hello
28. Titus - Teetis
29. Hi
30. Mil Mil

The body parts he can point out are ear, head and belly button.

He pretends to snore by laying his head down on a blanket or pillow and going, "Shoo."

He blows kisses with and without his hand. He gives very nice hugs on request. He waves at friends and strangers alike. He will sit on about anyone's lap after about 15 minutes of being around them. He smiles with his whole face. He waves bye and goodnight. When he wants picked up he gives the sign for all done. There are so many other ways our little boy interacts. He is so enjoyable.

At this point he has 8 teeth in front and his 4 molars. His tooth on the bottom left of the four bottom teeth and his 4 molars have all popped in within the last 3 - 4 weeks. Despite his teething, he is still a very good kid and very fun to be around. I enjoy hanging out with him and seeing him interact with new things. This is my kid.

The Computer Whisperer

"Well, hello there."

"Would you like to see what I can do?"

"I can fix a computer just by simply talking into the mouse...

and adjusting this little rolly thing."

"Who says you need a technical person to fix all your computer needs? Just call 'The Computer Whisperer' at 1-800-Titus-In"
