The Sandbox

Aaron and I put sand in a turtle box that we had bought through Facebook, and now Titus has a sand box. He enjoyed squishing the sand, dancing around in it, and unfortunately throwing it. For the longest time, he would take sand in both hands, go squish, squish, squish and then throw whatever was left. We are still working on keeping it in the sandbox. Near the end of his time in the sandbox, he discovered dancing around felt good.

We also enjoyed making holes in the sand, since it was wet sand.
We call this the "praying mantis." :)
I had already given the camera to Aaron to put away, so I wouldn't chance getting sand in it. Otherwise, I would have taken pictures of him dancing in it.

Titus' New Bike

This post is for Titus' Aunt Annie:

Titus loves his new bike!!!
So much so, that he had to tell someone about it.

Introduction to The Farm

We took a trip to see the Gaither Grandparents. Aaron's parents are in town and they have not seen them since the week of Aaron's and my wedding, 7 years ago. Aaron missed out, since he had to work. Titus has been to the farm at least 3 other times, but this time was old enough to be more aware of things around him.

He loves his Grandpa Gaither.

The tractor he kind of hated.

Click on this picture to make it bigger to see Titus' hatred.

The cows he loved.

Titus does know that a cow says, "Moo." However, so does a duck, horse, dog and anything else you put in the sentence, "What does a __________ say?"

Did I mention he loves his grandpa and the farm (except for the evil tractor)?

"Are you coming, mom?"

The Slide

Titus' favorite playground equipment is the slide. We have to pick him up to put him at the top of his big one, but he gets down all by himself.

Titus also enjoys trying to walk up slides.

But he hasn't made it up one yet.

He will often ask for assistance.

He loves it when we oblige.

Overcoming Fear

We have gotten past the fear of vacuums. We apparently are now past the fear of swings. Tractors on the other hand are another story. Here are pictures of Titus on his swing and hopefully soon I will be posting pictures of Titus at his great-grandparents farm.

Pray Before Your Meal

Titus just started playing "pretend" recently. His first "pretend" was praying before he ate his tires (a.k.a. chocolate doughnuts). He sat down in his new chairs that grandma bought him at an end table my mom had given me a long time ago. He bowed his head, prayed, and pretend ate his "chocolate doughnuts." Since then, we have bought him some play silverware, 2 place settings, sausage, a frying pan, spatula and eggs.
