Lunch at the Park

After feeding the ducks, we went to a park outside of the cemetery to feed ourselves. I love the GPS. We just used Aaron's mom's and looked up a park nearby and this is where we ended up.
They had a "water park."

Titus found a friend a little younger than him. They used teamwork to block the water hole.

The only problem was that Titus wanted to play in it, but didn't like being wet. Yep, that is my Titus. He had me take his shirt off the first time he got wet. Then, he got to a point he just wanted to complain about getting wet, but wanting to play in it.
So, we moved onto rocks.

Feeding the Ducks and Geese

I wanted to take Titus to an Apple Orchard this fall, but apparently due to all the heat this summer the apples in our area came a little early. They have all been picked. The owner of an apple orchard that I had contacted suggested duck feeding at a pond in Cave Hill Cemetery. I thought that was a great idea, and no it wasn't eerie.

Grandma Sjostrand was visiting, and she came along too.

When we first arrived, Titus was feeding the ducks and geese directly. One of the ducks or a goose nipped his hand and soon after he started throwing the bread to them. Thankfully, this momma didn't have to attack an attacking goose. They all behaved themselves and were not aggressive.

Some kids rub their eyes or play with their ears or hair when they are tired.
Titus rubs his head on his temple, like he is doing in this picture.

I do take pictures of other things outside of Titus. :)

However, this is Titus' blog.

After having our fun at the pond, we let Titus play in a field in front of the main office. He had fun throwing some tree nuts.

Titus enjoyed the experience and was not intimidated. He normally isn't by animals. He usually intimidates them by just being a toddler. He did try and pet the ducks and  geese a couple times, but they walked away from him and we, of course, discouraged it.

Peek-a-boo

Titus and I were playing outside and had a game of peek-a-boo with the tree. Actually, mommy wanted to take pictures of Titus with the tree and it was the only way he would somewhat cooperate.

Bubbles?

Got Dirt?

Titus has found his pockets. I guess it is time to start checking pockets before doing his laundry.

Almost 2

Titus -

I know you aren't two yet, but this morning I just kept looking and looking at you. You have grown up so much lately. I know you aren't that big yet to say, "grown up," but your understanding of the things around you has increased so much lately. You have become so helpful to both me and Daddy. You have such a helpful heart. Anytime Daddy and I are doing chores or handyman's work, you try to pitch in with all your effort. You have become good at helping me do laundry, feed Zoey and emptying the dishwasher on a regular basis. You are now learning to rinse dishes and put them on the drying towels. You have such a willing heart, even when you don't understand things quite yet.

This morning Zoey couldn't come up the stairs, because unlike most dogs she doesn't use her nose to open doors that are ajar. She was whining, but I couldn't get to her right away. You were playing in the kitchen area as I was trying to tell you about Zoey. At first, you didn't understand or weren't paying enough attention to understand what I wanted you to do. You came to where I was and I used my code, "Listen to Mommy," to help you pay attention. I told you about Zoey again and you ran to the top of the stairs and opened the door for Zoey with such enthusiasm. It may seem small to a lot of people, but this was one proud Mommy. I don't think it was just the act itself, but it was more that you are catching on more and more to things.

I put you in jeans this morning and I think that also had to do with you looking older. It was just weird to think I no longer have a baby, even though you will always be my baby.

Love,
Mommy

Dancing

I upload this first video for you to see the adorable smile I have to deal with right before Titus opens a drawer he is not suppose to be in.

This is just his top half dancing while sitting on our bed.

In this video he is probably both dancing and jumping on the bed.

And last, but not least, a little bit of dancing before finding the laptop case.

Washing the House

I put Titus to work yesterday washing the side of the house. Don't worry, he had fun!

Do I have to wash all the way up there?
Part of washing the house includes sticking your hand in the water and clapping.

Back to washing the wall

After we were all done, Titus had fun dancing in the water.

Zoey wanted in on the fun (or it could have been jealousy)

Chillin'

I found a new chill spot. It is on Daddy and Mommy's bed.

I, Mommy, found this funny. One night we were all three on the bed. I took my pillow and laid in this position. Titus stole Daddy's pillow and laid next to me. Later, Titus and I were sitting in a different position without the pillows. Aaron went to grab his pillow and Titus wouldn't let Aaron have it, even though he wasn't using it anymore.
