Titus will be 16 months on Saturday, but due to our recent move I was not able to get his 15 month appointment taken care of until last Friday the 2nd. He got to stand on a scale for the first time in his life. He weighed in at 26 lbs., which means he gained a whole 2 lbs and 3 ounces since his 1 year appt. He is now 35" tall. He grew 4 inches. I think he grew 3 of those inches in the last month. His 24 month pajamas were too big before we moved to KY and now they fit him just right.
Other things at the doctor's office:
- Those dry spots that mommy has been trying to get rid of on Titus' belly and back with lotions and creams since his birth can not be gotten rid of. They are birth marks.
- He has a herniated belly button like Mommy and Daddy. It is hereditary. Your welcome, Titus! This is probably the best of the worst things you will inherit from us.
- Verbally he ranks as a 19 month old.
- He is still in the 70-75th percentile for height and weight. His head size is still in the 90th percentile.
- He has allergies. The snot is not all due to teething. We were told to give him Zyrtec when he stops breathing out of his nose. Apparently the body filters air through the nose, but not the mouth.
I like this Pediatrician much better than the one up in Sycamore, even if he does seem a bit odd. I had asked the other Pediatrician about the "dry spots" and he said it was probably heat rash. I was never told his belly button was herniated. I just thought he was going to have an outty or that maybe one day it would go in. Although for boys this is not a concern. For girls they often do surgery, because with pregnancy the belly button can be quite painful. Anyway, as a side note...
