One of the other art projects the kids did for a Father's Day gift were Suncatchers. I had read about them on Pinterest and I had Titus do them a couple months ago for Mother's Day for his grandmas. Basically, you cut up straws into small pieces, drop them onto contact paper and close it up with another piece of contact paper of the same shape. For an added bonus, I put a thin piece of contruction paper around the edges for more color.
Yes, I let the kids use scissors.
